An earthquake with a magnitude of 8.8 had just hit Santiago, Chile early Saturday where 76 people were confirmed dead. According to the deputy interior minister of Chile, Patricio Rosende, the death toll will continue to rise.
The Chile quake have reached the populated area of Robinson Crusoe Islands. Tsunami warnings were also issued in areas that includes South America, Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, The Philipines, Russia and many Pacific Islands.
Central Chile now is in a state of catastrophe.
