Lillian Roth told her Biography



Lillian Roth was born in 1910 by a different name, Lillian Rutstein. Roth was a famous actress & singer. Lillian Roth actually began working in the acting business at the age of 6, when he appeared in films, plays & revues. He was actually touted as “Broadway’s youngest star.”

In the late 20’s & early 30’s, Lillian Roth starred onstage in Earl Carroll’s Vanities as well as Ziegfeld’s Midnight Frolics. He also starred in lots of successful Hollywood movies.

In 1953, Lillian Roth told her biography on a TV series called This is your Life, & then four year later he released her personal autobiography which was called I’ll Cry Tomorrow. I’ll Cry Tomorrow became an international best seller & actually became a hit when it starred Susan Hayward in 1955. Susan Hayward actually won an Oscar Nomination for I’ll Cry Tomorrow.

In the personal life of Lillian Roth, he was known for having a drinking problem as well as having been married 8 times. Lillian Roth made a comeback in nightclubs as well as onstage when he appeared in I Can get it for you Wholesale & 70 Girls 70 & then in the 1977 film Communion. Lillian Roth passed away at the age of 1980.
